This morning, police were called in response to a zombie massacre, when a movie set collapsed, taking 20 actors in zombie make-up with it.
Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth film in the franchise based on the video game is currently filming in Toronto at the Cinespace Film Studios. Police and ambulances were called in at 8:00 AM, Tuesday morning. Toronto Star quotes an officer on the scene:
It caught us off guard,” Toronto police Sgt. Andrew Gibson said of the accident scene — where a collection of the ‘undead’ were injured.
Gibson said the costume actors — many wearing fake blood — came as a surprise to emergency staff but “it was obvious” who was hurt.
12 zombies were sent to the hospital.
Today was only the second day of filming for Resident Evil: Retribution, which is currently scheduled for release September 14th, 2012.
