The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be the first 3D entry into the Lord of the Rings universe, and to mark the occasion, theaters will be handing out these custom glasses for the film’s 3D presentation.
I guess it’s nice to get something for the increased ticket price, but wow, do those look uncomfortable or what? And with the recent news that the series will be stretched into three movies, that’s upwards of nine hours you’ll have to wear them.
