Here’s a new poster for Dredd 3D, which stars Karl Urban (Bones in Star Trek) as the title judge, and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Madrigal.
Judge Dredd, a futuristic ‘Street Judge’ who not only apprehends criminals but also sentences them on the spot, started life as a series in the British comic magazine 2000 AD in 1977. The character exploded in popularity, eventually earning his own publication, Judge Dredd Magazine, in 1994.
The title was previously adapted as a film in 1995. It starred Sylvester Stallone and was wildly unpopular.
