BBC’s Being Human to End After Five Series

Picture 1The BBC has announced that their fantasy-horror series Being Human (the original, not the American remake that airs on SyFy), about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost who share an apartment, will end after its current, fifth series.

The show survived some major cast shake-ups over the years, losing stars Aidan Turner at the end of series three, and Lenora Crichlow, Sinead Keenan, & Russell Tovey in series four.  Being Human currently stars Michael Socha, Damien Molony, and Kate Bracken.

The BBC has released a trailer for the upcoming fourth series of Being Human.  The new series is absent former series star Aiden Turner, who left the show in favour of a role in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.

 

This series introduces Damien Molony as a new vampire named Hal.  Michael Socha, who plays the werewolf Tom, is now a series regular; likely in anticipation of Russell Tovey (the werewolf George) leaving the show after this series.

Russell Tovey Leaves Being Human: Two Down, One To Go

Series four of Being Human has yet to air, but at least one major plot point has just been leaked: the werewolf George will bid his farewell.

Actor Russell Tovey revealed on Twitter today that he has left the series:
