Viz Media has set a release date for the first entry in the Berserk reboot movie trilogy, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 1 – The Egg of the King.
The Blu Ray and DVD will be released on November 27th, for $24.99 and $19.99 respectively; which is cheap by anime standards.
The second film in the series, The Golden Age Arc 2 – The Battle for Doldrey, hit Japanese theaters June 23rd.
Viz Media announced their acquisition of the new Berserk: The Golden Age Arc film trilogy for release in North America.
They’ve promised the first entry in the series, ‘The Egg of the King,’ will be released in Fall, 2012.

Warner Bros has released a nearly six minute preview of their upcoming anime film, Berserk: Golden Age 1 – Egg of the Supreme King, which premieres in Japan, February 4th.
Though produced by WB in Japan, that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll be the ones to release it in North America, but given the franchise’s popularity, it’s highly likely that someone will.
