Arnold Schwarzenegger, fresh off a sex-scandal plagued tenure as governor of California, is set to return to the role that made him famous, Conan the Barbarian.
The Legend of Conan, which Universal Pictures is hoping to have in theaters by summer of 2014 would be a direct sequel to 1982′s Conan the Barbarian, ignoring the events of 1984′s Conan the Destroyer (which also starred Schwarzenegger) and 2011′s Conan the Barbarian reboot starring Game of Thrones‘ Jason Momoa. The film will pick up the story of Conan 32 years later, as he deals with old age and the burdens of kingship, kind of like the end of Beowulf .
