Gold Digger is a lot of different comics all rolled into one. Each issue focuses on a subsection of its giant cast, all of whom have their own diversely styled adventures. Some, of course, are better than others.

The first four issues in this collection focus on Penny Pincer’s boyfriend Ace, the expert pilot who has been reduced to taxiing Penny and company around to their various adventures. Despite being the focus of this volume, Ace spends most of his time in the background, perhaps as a meta-fictional reflection of his place in Penny’s life.
