That expedition, of course, is the subject of the upcoming Alien prequel, which links this video directly to the plot, unlike the previous ones.

The first pictures from Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien-related film, Prometheus have just hit the internet.
They’re from the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, originally.
Director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien) spoke to the Speakeasy blog about his upcoming return to science fiction, Prometheus.
The film started out as a prequel to Alien, but morphed during pre-production into an original story, though Scott says there is still a strand of Alien DNA in the new film. He notes that the last 8 minutes of the film evolve into, “a pretty good DNA of the ‘Alien’ one.”
