Alphas Become Betas

Picture 1SyFy has canceled its superheroes-with relatively-unimpressive-powers series Alphas after two seasons and 24 episodes; though they use the more polite phrasing of ‘decided not to renew.’

This comes long after the series aired its final episode on October 22nd, meaning fans (I don’t think the show was on long enough to get a cute name for its fan base; but lets call them ‘Alphanatics’) will be left hanging, without a resolution to show’s lingering story lines.

SyFy’s statement:

Syfy has decided not to renew Alphas for a third season. We’ve been proud to present this entertaining, high-quality series for two seasons and to work with an incredible ensemble of talented actors, producers and creatives as well as our partners at BermanBraun Television.  We’d like to thank the show’s dedicated regular viewers for their tremendous support.
