The three actors previously played Kitty Pryde, Rogue, and Ice Man respectively in the original X-Men trilogy, on which Singer served as directed for the first two installments. They’re joined by Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, the original Magneto and Professor X, who signed on back in November.
‘Days of Future Past’ is based on a storyline from the original comic book series in which X-Men from a dystopic future travel to the past in the hopes of changing the course of history. Kind of like Terminator.
