The BBC always releases their shows on video soon after they air, which necessitates having said DVDs and Blu Rays ready to go ahead of time. Do you see where this is going?
It seems that late last week, someone in BBC America’s shipping department (or formally of the shipping department) decided to start shipping the Doctor Who Series Seven, Part Two DVDs, which include the season finale, ‘The Name of the Doctor,’ a full week before the finale airs.
Now the network in damage control, bribing those lucky fans to keep their mouths shut and not spoil the episode’s many secrets. Here’s their official statement:
“We understand that a small number of US fans have received in error their DVD edition of Series 7 Part 2 early. We respectfully ask those fans not to divulge information or post content publicly so that fellow fans who have yet to see the episodes do not have their viewing pleasure ruined.
If everyone keeps the secrets safe until next Saturday we will release a special new clip featuring material of the Tenth AND Eleventh Doctor!
I’m not big on spoilers myself, so I won’t be hunting them down, nor would I publish them if I heard them.
