The Classic Doctors Return in a New Special

fishdrThe BBC is throwing the classic Doctors a bone in the form of a minisode that is set to air on November 23rd, along with the 50th anniversary special, ‘The Day of the Doctor.’

The mini is called ‘The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot,’ a reference to Doctor Who‘s 20th anniversary special, which featured the first five Doctors, William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, and Peter Davison (though William Hartnell, who had passed away earlier, had to be recast; and Tom Baker only appeared in flashbacks since he opted out).  Peter Davidson, the fifth Doctor, is writing and directing the minisode (I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, nor do I know where this will fit into the canon, if at all).

So, anyway, if you had a hankering for old-timey Doctors, the 50th anniversary has you covered(ish).
