BBC To Adapt Gaiman’s Anansi Boys

AnansiBoysNeil Gaiman’s 2005 novel Anansi Boys is being adapted into a TV miniseries by the BBC.  Anansi Boys is the story of an undistinguished accountant named Fat Charlie, who discovers that his recently deceased father was actually the African spider god, Anansi.  He also discovers that he has a long-lost brother who inherited all of his fathers powers.

Anansi Boys is set in the same universe as Gaiman’s earlier novel, American Gods, in which a number of old gods from human history live human lives in America.

Gaiman previously worked with the BBC on the TV miniseries Neverwhere (Review), which he later adapted as his first novel.
